Printer Setup

Okidata Microline 320 Turbo


Printer Settings

  1. Insert a blank sheet of paper into the printer.
  2. Enter Menu Mode:
    Press and hold the Shift and Sel buttons at the same time. The Menu light should come on. If it does not come on turn the printer off, then back on, and repeat this step.
  3. Set the printer's Emulation Mode to "IBM PPR":
    Press the Group button (located under LF). The printer should print:
    General Control       Emulation Mode       xxxxxxxxxx

    If the Emulation Mode is set to IMB PPR, skip to step 4.
    Press Set until it prints:
    General Control       Emulation Mode       IBM PPR
  4. Set the Bottom Margin to "Invalid":
    With the Menu light still on, press Group until the printer prints:
    Top Feed       Line Spacing       xxxxxxxxxx

    Press Item. The printer should print:
    Top Feed       Bottom Margin       xxxxxxxxxx

    If the value for Bottom Margin is "Invalid", skip to step 5.
    Press Set. The printer should print:
    Top Feed       Bottom Margin       Invalid
  5. Set the Paper Out Override setting to "Yes":
    With the Menu light still on, press Group until the printer prints:
    Set-Up       Graphics               xxxxxxxxxx

    Press Item. The printer should print:
    Set-Up       Paper Out Override     xxxxxxxxxx

    If the value for Paper Out Override is "Yes", skip to step 6.
    Press Set. The printer should print:
    Set-Up       Paper Out Override     Yes
  6. Set the Auto Select setting to "Yes":
    With the Menu light still on, press Item until the printer prints:
    Set-Up       Auto Select     xxxxxxxxxx

    If the value for Auto Select is "Yes", skip to step 7.
    Press Set. The printer should print:
    Set-Up       Auto Select     Yes
  7. Press and hold the Shift and Sel buttons at the same time to turn off Menu Mode.

Install the Okidata 320 turbo driver for Windows

  1. Go to Start -> Printers and faxes
  2. Double click on Add Printer
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the drive installation
  4. Print a test page to make sure the printer has been installed correctly
